Changing Diaper

Our Sweetie Pie can change diaper! Well almost, if she had a real baby to practise on.

Midori's First Haircut

Mama Pig has been contemplating on cutting Lil Piglet's hair for a long time. Fearing that Midori might develop a lazy eye from the constant blocking of her right eye by her long bangs, Mama Pig put Midori on her high chair, bribed her with a piece of biscuit before snipping some 6 cm off Midori's bangs...... a tad too much.

Karaoke

Ever since Papa Pig bought Singstar, he has been practising his vocal almost everyday.
Papa Pig recruited our Golden Piglet to be his background singer.

Electric Toothbrush

Our Golden Pig tried brushing her teeth with her very first electric toothbrush today. Midori loves it! So much so that now she wants to brush her teeth more than twice a day.

Shaki-ra

Midori loves to shake her butt. Our lil "Shaki-ra" has been rocking since the day she started sitting.

Dr. Midori

Mama Pig bought her Golden Piglet a doctor set to help the latter overcome her dislike for her pediatrician. Since then our Sweetie Pie has been playing doctor to Mama Pig, Papa Pig, her dolls and stuffed toys.

Hopefully, this will inspire Midori to be a physician just like her auntie SW and uncle E.

Putting on Shoes

Mama Pig and Papa Pig are proud of the fact that our Golden Piglet has started wearing shoes on her own at 17-month old. What is more amazing is that it was self-taught, because Mama Pig and Papa Pig never taught Lil Piglet how to do it.

Midori doesn't always get them right though. Sometimes she walked around with her right shoe on her left foot and left shoe on right foot. So she still needs to work on it, just like how she's working on getting the right pronunciation on "shoe".

Goodies from BB

The 3 Lil Pigs were overjoyed to receive a surprise parcel from BB the other day. It was like some kind of telepathy between Mama Pig and BB for the latter sent us goodies which Mama Pig had craved for just 2 days before.

Thank U very much for thinking of us, BB!

Mama Pig also likes to thank YY for the interesting DVDs on HK soaps which will spice up her desperate housewife life in Germany.

Hugs & Kisses,

Midori Understands

Our Sweetie Pie knows all her stuffed toys by name. Midori understands much more than what she can say. The song "Words Don't Come Easy to Me" best describes her current progress.

Our Pumpkin loves the cute Mr. Donut Japanese commercials so much so that she likes to mimic the characters.

Midori At Work

Midori the mover was dressed up for work.
Our Piglet turned grouchy because she was thristy.
Doesn't our Sweetie Pie look like a boy? Ha ha ha.
Midori the mechanic test drove the car with much pride.

Oh My Darling, Clementine!

Papa Pig came back from work today and saw our Golden Piglet happily peeling and eating a clementine while Mama Pig was napping on the couch. Papa Pig and Mama Pig were so amused at the sight, but our lil' greedy Piglet ignored us and carried on eating.

Guess, Midori was in Chinese New Year spirits cos clementines are the closest fruit to mandarin oranges here in Germany.

Midori Walks!

Yipee! Our Sweetie Pie is finally walking on her own!

Mama Pig and Papa Pig were so thrilled when Golden Piglet started taking her first steps a week ago. Since then we have been encouraging her to walk more steps everyday and today she walked a couple of meters!

Go, Midori! Go!

Standing Tall

Our Precious Piglet stood confidently today after her first stand about 2 months ago. Midori loves to practise standing up on the bed.Our Golden Piglet finally did it! She stood tall and made Mama Pig and Papa Pig so proud of her.

1 Year, 1 Month,1 Week and 1 Day Old

Today our Golden Piglet is 1 year, 1 month, 1 week and 1 day old. The 3 Lil' Pigs didn't celebrate the occasion, instead Mama Pig brought Golden Piglet to a birthday while Papa Pig rested at home on Buß-und Bettag day, a state holiday in Saxony.
Nathalie turns 1 today so her Mexican mom and German dad threw her a real kiddy birthday party complete with pinata.Midori and Mama Pig had so much fun. We tried hitting the pinata, but too bad we couldn't break it. Mama Pig got to know many Spanish-speaking lady expats in Görlitz and Midori made many new friends too.

Happy Birthday, Naty!

Cheers,

Mama Pig & Golden Piglet

Let's Play, My Friend!

I noticed Midori has been reaching out to babies and kids. She squeals in delight and points at kids whenever she spots them. However, I had yet to see her play with kids until today when my Japanese friend, Y, brought her baby, A, to our place. It was the first time that Midori and A played together!

Y and I were amazed and amused at how our 2 golden piglets seemed to understand each other via their baby verbal and body languages. They enjoyed chasing each other on fours which left us laughing and snapping away with our cameras.

4.5 months ago, both of them were just sitting in their baby car seats without interacting with one another.

A, is exactly 6 weeks younger than our Sweetie Pie. Technically, she is our Pumpkin's first friend because the 2 Eurasian piglets have known each other since they were still in our tummies! However, the first few meetings weren't fun as both babies cried when they were put next to each other.

Up & Down

Our Golden Piglet can get up and down the couch and bed. She is better at getting down and still needs a little shoving up the couch and bed.

Happy 11-Month Old, Midori!!!

Our Golden Piglet is 11-month today. Midori can climb up and down the bed and sofa and she loves to follow me wherever I go.

With 6 new teeth popping out at the same time, our usually happy Sweetie Pie has been whining and grinding her teeth quite a bit. Yes, 6! Wonder what's the hurry. Maybe the 4 top and 2 bottom teeth are catching up with lost time and rushing to make it to Midori's 1st birthday. I bought Dentinox teething gel to help soothe her sore gum.

Hang in there, Sweetie! At least, u'll look good (even cuter) when u smile on your first birthday next month.

Happy 11-month old, Midori chan!!!

Love,

Mama Pig & Papa Pig

10-Month Check-up

Doesn't Midori look like her Papa? No wonder she's almost always mistaken as a boy even when she's dressed in pink.

Midori was having fun while waiting to see her new pediatrician for the 10-month check-up. We didn't like her previous pediatrician. She failed to draw blood from Midori even after poking her head twice with a syringe. I crinched in pain as our usually brave piglet with high threshold for pain cried her lungs out. That was the final draw and we knew we had to look for another pediatrician.

Midori was making sure the nurse didn't overstate her weight.

Blowing A Raspberry

Midori started blowing a raspberry when she was about 3 months old. She has since perfected it and loves to clap and wave now. If u watch carefully, u might see her 2 bottom incisors at the beginning of the video.

Happy 10-Month Old, Midori!!!

With a blink of our eyes, our precious golden piglet is already 10 months old!!! Midori is getting curious by the minute and loves electronics gadgets more than her baby toys. I think she got it from her Papa.

Our baby is very active now, so much so that she doesn't stay still long enough for us to take a good pix of her. She has started crawling without dragging her tummy, loves to stand up and cruises whenever she gets the opportunity. Midori even took her first steps with my help.

Her 2 bottom incisors are making their way out. Luckily she's not having any teething pain. At least she doesn't show it.

Her YY 99 might not have heard it when Midori said "bye-bye" to him on the phone today. She waved and even repeated "bye-bye" after me later in the evening and again before she went to bed! Wished we could capture these precious moments on video. Yeah, we are obsessed with our lil' buddle of joy and her achievements.

Happy 10-month, Midori chan!!!

Love,

Mama Pig & Papa Pig
